This is Lei Fang and I am a senior software development engineer in Windows Azure group at Microsoft. Windows Azure is the key of Microsoft's public cloud offering, which provides a comphensive environement of both PaaS and IaaS. My job at Microsoft is to deliver a new generation cloud monitoring and diagnostic infastructure.

 

I got my Ph.D. from ECE department, Virginia Tech after I spent 4 years in Blacksburg, Virginia, with researches focused on formal methods in verification and testing. Blacksburg is a wonder place to live. I definitely miss the sunny blue sky there after I moved to Seattle. At Virginia Tech I enjoyed my research life as a Proactive member in Professor Michael S. Hsiao's group. I obtained M.S. from EECS department, Syracuse University where I published a few research papers with Professor Wenliang Du about locationing and intrusion detection in wireless sensor network. Before that I worked for two years as software engineer in China after I graduated from EE department, Tsinghua University.

 

My research interests include fomral verification, hardware and software testing, distibuted system, computer security and power optimization.
